How to Get Involved
'There are a number of ways to get involved and we are always happy when new people contact us! Here are some ideas if you are looking to get involved.
(1) Come to one of our Action Item Meetings -- We meet every week around a specific topic. Everyone from the community is welcome and these are a great place to meet us and find out more. The more people who show up and participate in these Action Items the more powerful they are. We post information about each week's Action Item on our homepage, so check there for updates and feel free to drop by.
(2) Start your own Indivisible on Campus group! -- Our group started as friends getting together weekly to make phone calls and we found that by doing this together we had more of an impact and felt more motivated to show up week after week. We encourage you to get together with your friends or colleagues from your department or school to do the same and start your own Indivisible on Campus group. When we started we were only 5-7 people, so you don't need to be large. You are welcome to do the same actions we do each week, just tune in to this website for the information and then hold your own action at a place and time convenient to you. We will coordinate with you, offer help on getting started, and advertise your actions/meetings whenever you'd like. Talk to some friends and then feel free to contact us.
(3) Coalition building -- We are always looking to build connections and collaborations with other groups on and off campuses. If you are part of another group, please do contact us because we would love to help and coordinate actions when needed. Part of our mission is to help other groups spread the word and get people to call in or show up.
